With its fourth season now well underway, the stakes only keep getting higher for the characters in The CW’s Legacies.
The show’s most recent episode finally paid off years of waiting as Hope fully embraced her hybrid powers but agonisingly, the chapter ended with a dramatic cliffhanger.
Naturally, the ending has left fans hungry for more but just when is episode 5 of Legacies season 4 airing on The CW and what will the next chapter entail?
Legacies season 4 episode 4 recap
Episode 4 of Legacies’ fourth season aired on November 4th, 2021.
Titled See You on the Other Side, the episode began with Hope treading the line between life and death until a meeting with the spirit of Ted, the Necromancer, inspired her to return to the land of the living.
With Hope missing, Alaric was left to patrol the streets of Mystic Falls until another run-in with the dragon-powered Kaleb and just as it looks like Alaric could finally be about to bite the bullet, Hope arrived on the scene at the perfect moment.
After defeating Kaleb, Hope finally gave fans what they’ve been waiting for as she fed on Alaric and transformed into a hybrid being of vampire, werewolf and witch in order to take on Landivore.
Hope was about to end the epic showdown by stabbing Landivore but just as she was about to strike the final blow, Landon’s spirit regained control over his body for one final conversation with his girlfriend, knowing that she must kill him.
The dramatic episode ended with a shaken Hope killing stabbing Landon bidding farewell to Alaric in chilling fashion as she warned that no one should follow her.
Legacies season 4 episode 5 preview
Episode 5 of Legacies season 4 will air on The CW at 9/8c on Thursday, November 11th, 2021.
Fans will also be able to stream the episode via The CW’s website a day later on November 12th.
Titled I Thought You’d Be Happier to See Me, episode 5 continues on from the dramatic cliffhanger as Hope is tracked down by the one person who could have a chance of helping her, Rebekah Mikaelson.
Rebekah is understandably wary of the path Hope is going down but makes every effort to get through to her.
Meanwhile, Josie and Lizzie hold out hope as their situation worsens and MG figures out what he can do to help.
How many episodes total
The CW has yet to officially confirm how many episodes season 4 of Legacies will consist of.
However, it is largely expected that season 4 will feature a total of 16 episodes.
That’s because seasons 1-3 of the series all consisted of 16 episodes as a well and it would be a surprise to see The CW deviate from that pattern now.
As such, the finale of season 4 isn’t expected to arrive until 2022, so there are plenty more twists and turns still to come.
