Celek was selected by the Philadelphia Eagles in the fifth round (162nd overall) of the 2007 NFL Draft after being declined an invitation to the NFL Scouting Combine[3]. On May 30, 2007, he agreed to a four-year contract with the organization.
Season 2008
In week 9 of 2008, Celek set a team record for yards in a game with 131 and a playoff game record with 10 receptions in the 2009 NFC Championship. He had two touchdown receptions against the Arizona Cardinals, and his 19 receptions throughout the NFL playoffs in 2008–09 were the third-most by a tight end in NFL history.
In 2009

Celek was fined for excessive celebration following a score in a week nine home game against the Dallas Cowboys after teammate Jason Avant elevated his leg to mimic the Captain Morgan rum mascot. Celek caught 42 passes for 511 yards and 4 touchdowns in the 2010 season, including a 65-yard touchdown against the New York Giants in week 15’s Miracle at the New Meadowlands, which was a then-career-long distance for a touchdown.
In 2011
Celek was Michael Vick’s favorite target and finished the season with 811 receiving yards. Along with rookie center Jason Kelce and right tackle Todd Herremans, he was one of three offensive Eagle players to start each of the team’s 16 games. Celek was a passenger in a drunk driving crash during the off-season, but no one was wounded .

Celek has 57 receptions for 684 yards and one score at the end of the season.
Season of 2014
Celek was the second-place tight end in Eagles team history at the start of the 2014 season, his eighth in the NFL, in terms of receiving yards (4,050), receptions (322), and touchdowns (26), all behind career leader Pete Retzlaff. However, despite being the team’s starter, Celek only had 90 yards in the team’s first eight games (three of those games had no receptions), primarily being used for blocking. Celek saw more catches from backup Mark Sanchez after Nick Foles got hurt. He caught 5 catches for 116 yards in a victory over the Carolina Panthers, which served as the best example of this. In Week 17, he also grabbed Sanchez’s lone touchdown pass of the year, a 1-yard catch against the Giants. Less than half of teammate Zach Ertz’s total receiving yards and touchdowns were recorded by Celek, who concluded the season with 32 receptions for 340 yards.

In 2015
Celek continued to be the Eagles’ top tight end despite Ertz’s greater receiving skills because of his superior blocking skills. Celek started off similarly to 2014, with only one catch on one target for six yards in three games. He did, however, score his first touchdown of the year on a 10-yard catch and run from new quarterback Sam Bradford in a divisional game against the Redskins in Week 4. Celek followed it up against the Saints with three catches for 44 yards and another touchdown. Celek only had 2 receptions for 11 yards in a game against the Panthers, and he had none against the Cowboys. In overtime, Celek did manage to stop Dallas defensive end Greg Hardy, allowing Bradford to throw the game-winning touchdown.
In a game against the Miami Dolphins in week 10, Celek broke out with four catches for 134 yards. He then added seven catches for 79 yards against the Buccaneers and two catches for 10 yards and a touchdown against the Lions. Despite Bradford throwing three of Celek’s four catches against Miami, Mark Sanchez started two of these games and participated in all three. Celek concluded the year with 27 catches for 398 yards, good for third on the team, and three touchdowns despite only receiving 35 targets, eighth on the team (T-2nd on the team).
Celek extended his three-year contract with the Eagles on January 26 for $13 million, with $6 million guaranteed .
Season of 2016
He participated in all 16 games, making 8 starts. He recorded 14 receptions for 155 yards, but for the first time in his career, he failed to score a touchdown.

Season 2017
Celek participated in all 16 games and had 13 receptions for 130 yards, which was a career low, but he did score a touchdown. Zach Ertz played a bigger role at tight end as a result, and Celek was demoted to backup duty and occasionally rotated to allow Ertz to relax.
