Caster Semenya Family – Caster Semenya is a South African Middle-distance runner. Caster Semenya Wife’s name is Violet Raseboya. She won two Olympic gold medals and three World Championships in the women’s 800 meters. Semenya filed an appeal with the European Court of Human Rights against the restrictions in 2021 and wins the case at the European rights court in 2023.

Caster Semenya was born on 7 January 1991 in Ga-Masehlong, a village in South Africa near Polokwane. She is 32 years old as of 2023. She grew up in the village of Fairlie. Her real name is Mokgadi Caster Semenya.
She passed out from Nthema Secondary School. She graduated as a sports science student from the University of North West.
Caster Semenya is the son of Dorcus Semenya (Mother) and Jacob Semenya (Father).
Caster’s father was so determined to earn enough when Caster was born. He worked away from home for weeks. Her father had three daughters but he wanted a son. Caster told,
‘In our culture, the father is not allowed to even touch his baby until the umbilical cord has fallen off. Then the old women of the village take it away and the man is handed his child. This week, I thought of how tiny she once was. I still feel very protective of her.’
Caster grew becoming taller and more thickset. She spent her childhood time playing football with her male cousins.
Caster’s father says,
‘She was heartbroken. Up until that point, Caster had lived for football and she was desperate to play the game. The coaches said she was a “hard mama” – too tough and too big to play. Caster has never cared about men other than as friends.’
Caster Semenya has three sisters and a brother.
Caster has three sisters including Nkele Semenya. She has a brother named Thabang Semenya. Nkele lives in Ga-Masehlong.

“Being in a relationship with you for 13 years gives me a peaceful existence. Your [love] is the strength that drove me to do everything for this family.”

Caster and Violet are blessed with two daughters Oratile and Oarabile.
Caster Semenya has two daughters with her wife Violet. Their two beautiful daughters’ names are Oratile and Oarabile Semenya. Oratile was born on 5 July 2019. Oarabile was born in 2021.
