Ahead of the S1 finale, what are the chances that the Harem in the Labyrinth of Another World anime will be renewed for season 2?
Isekai anime, especially those series that centre around Harems, can often be a divisive genre within the global community.
Whatever your opinion on these hyper-sexualised shows is, the genre remains extremely popular around the world with Isekai Harem series consistently featuring on each new broadcasting slate; including Harem in the Labyrinth of Another World.
At the time of writing, Harem in the Labyrinth of Another World has not yet been publicly renewed for season 2 – here is a complete breakdown of where the anime is right now in its renewal status.

Harem in the Labyrinth of Another World episode 12
Harem in the Labyrinth of Another World episode 12, the season 1 finale, is scheduled to premiere around the world on Wednesday, September 21st.
As confirmed by Crunchyroll, the anime finale “Human” will release at the following international times:
- Pacific Time – 8:30 AM
- Eastern Time – 11:30 AM
- British Time – 4:30 PM
- European Time – 5:30 PM
- India Time – 9 PM
- Philippine Time – 11:30 PM
- Australia Central Time – 1 AM

Harem in the Labyrinth of Another World season 2 renewal status
As previously noted, Harem in the Labyrinth of Another World season 2 has not yet been publicly ordered, but where does the anime stand in terms of its renewal status ahead of the S1 finale?
The first thing to note is that Harem in the Labyrinth of Another World has plenty of original source material from its light novel series to adapt into a second season of the anime. Per AnimeGeek, episode 12 is expected to adapt up until volume 4 of Shachi Sogano’s original light novel series.
The good news is that, as of September 2022, 12 total Tankobon volumes have been released domestically in Japan – the series awaits an English distribution. This means that there is potentially enough source material for not just one, but two more anime seasons of Harem in the Labyrinth of Another World.
The only potential caveat here is that Harem in the Labyrinth of Another World has not received exceptional reviews from fans and the anime did not appear to significantly boost the light novel series’ sales.
Ahead of the season 1 finale, Harem in the Labyrinth of Another World is scoring a 6.4/10 on IMDB, 3.5/5 on Anime Planet, 64% on Anilist and 6.72/10 on MyAnimeList.

Whilst these scores certainly leave more to be desired, it is worth noting that international popularity will be overtaken by the DVD Blu-Ray sales domestically in Japan once they release.
Purchasing physical copies of anime may be rather rare in the Western anime community, but these sales are often a decisive factor in the renewal status of shows that originate in Japan.

So, under the assumption that Harem in the Labyrinth of Another World will be renewed by Studio Passione, when could it theoretically release?
Well, the anime adaptation was first announced in December 2020 and premiered in July 2022; however, it should be noted that the coronavirus pandemic caused significant delays to anime production during this time.
If Studio Passione is able to speed-up the production of Harem in the Labyrinth of Another World season 2, fans could see the series return as soon as July 2023 on the Summer broadcasting slate.
The only problem here is that Passione have several projects already lined-up for 2023, including The Demon Sword Master of Excalibur Academy and Yuri Is My Job.
As these shows will likely take priority over Harem in the Labyrinth of Another World, this could potentially push the release date back until October 2023 or even January 2024.
Fingers crossed that the Blu-Ray DVD sales are high enough to greenlight a second season.
