Luckily for fans, there is a brand new episode of "Saturday Night Live" airing on NBC on Saturday, December 18. Paul Rudd will be the host this weekend, while Charli XCX will be the musical performer. The actor and the singer appeared in a promo where they had some fun teasing what's coming in the new episode (via YouTube). In addition to the Apple TV+ limited series "The Shrink Next Door," Rudd recently starred in "Ghostbusters: Afterlife," so there is a good chance that we will probably see a sketch based on those exploits.
Rudd's appearance on this week's "SNL" will mark the fifth time as host, and it will be the second time as the musical act for Charli XCX (via Deadline). Charli XCX is best known for her songs "Boom Clap," "I Love It," and "Break the Rules." The famous singer-songwriter has also assisted the likes of Camila Cabello with her song "Senorita," as well as Selena Gomez's "Same Old Love." Her next album, "Crash," is out on March 2022.
"Saturday Night Live" airs at 11:30 p.m. ET on NBC. New episodes are available on Hulu and Peacock after their original air date.
