Keith Muhs Obituary News: Pennsville man dies following protracted battle

We announce with deep emotions that Keith Muhs, a loving father and husband, has passed away following a valiant and protracted battle. With his wife Lisa by his side, Keith passed away quietly at home in Pennsville.
Keith was well-known for his brilliant mind, sharp wit, silly sayings, and disappearing tricks reminiscent of Harry Houdini. Keith loved spending time at the beach with his family, fishing, and playing golf with his buddies.
He was frequently spotted driving throughout the city with Laylah, his devoted dog. Keith’s parents, Joseph and Eleanor Muhs, welcomed him into the world on May 8, 1963, in Salem. He spent his entire life in Pennsville.
After excelling as a student-athlete at Pennsville Memorial High School, where he graduated in 1981, he went on to play baseball at St. Joseph’s University, where he earned a business degree in 1985. After that, Keith spent a number of years working for Atlantic City Electric. After that, he spent a long time working as a vice president and credit officer for Bank of America. Keith was a phenomenal athlete who loved sports, collecting statistics on all of the Philadelphia teams and listening to sports talk radio.
Because of his many years of experience coaching Pennsville Little League and Pennsville Midget Football, Keith was most known around town as “Coach Keith.” He continued to be devoted to the Pennsville community. Particularly toward his wife and his two kids, Sarah and Rebekah, Keith was a loving husband and father. He was a proud dance prop dad who attended every recital and dance competition. During these gatherings, Keith also liked to execute his own Houdini routines, showing up precisely when his daughters were on stage and then vanishing to reappear at precisely the proper times, usually from a secret balcony.
In addition to being incredibly witty and devoted, Keith had a big circle of acquaintances he thought of as family. Joseph and Eleanor Muhs, Keith’s parents, passed away before him. Lisa Schrier Muhs, Keith’s wife of 26 years, and their daughters Sarah and Rebekah survive him.
