One month after the devastating thousand-form dragon attack on the city of Aratium, it is revealed in chapter 55 that the legendary Lightning Dragon Sea is being held in Aratium’s Treasury.
The young hero Rudd Denatos, master of the piercing technique, steps up and takes credit for defeating a thousand dragons single-handedly. This claim is met with doubt.
Nevertheless, the Emperor appoints Rudd as the lead organizer of the lightning dragon subjugation team. Despite strong opposition from neighboring countries, Rudd refuses to back down.
In an unprecedented power move, Rudd not only officially acknowledges the seven-sealed dragons but also begins processes to unseal and take control of them.
Rudd’s mentor, Henith, cautions him that he may need help controlling the formidable dragons once unsealed, but Rudd arrogantly claims no one has the skills required to assist him.
It is revealed that the Crown Prince has formally recognized Rudd Denatos’s feats by granting him the title of hero. Many believe the Crown Prince aims to leverage Rudd’s skills to restore long-held conventions and consolidate the continent’s strength.
The southern lands have been forbidden territory since the Thousand Dragon incident over a decade ago. As a result, southern phenomena like snowbowling remain mysterious and vexing annoyances to those in the north.
