Paul Unongo was hailed from Jato Aka in the Kwande Local Government Area of Benue State, Nigeria. Paul is a strong politician, he set one’s heart in to govern Benue State in 1983 but stray to Aper Aku of blessed memory.

In 2017, Paul triumphed over Maitama Sule as the chairman of the Northern Elders Forum.
