My husband was diagnosed with Alzheimers June 2011 at the age of 71. I am now trying to arrange travel insurance for us both to go to America but having problems finding a company that will accept him or specialises in travel insurance for people with alzheimers.

We have travel insurance through our bank as an extra to our current account. We have had it for years and when my husband was diagnosed with Alzheimer's in 2010 we phoned the insurance company to let them know. They added it to his list of ailments but it didn't cost us anything more.
