Photos from the set of the new Barbie movie starring Margot Robbie have hit the internet, but it’s a fan in the background that’s become the star of the show.
Barbie the movie broke the internet earlier this month after the first photo of Ryan Gosling as Ken was unveiled.
Dressed in head to toe denim and boxers labelled with his own name, just in case he loses them, the casting has received mixed reviews. Some fans have criticised that the La La Land actor is too old to play the character at 41 years old, while others have dubbed him as the perfect candidate to play “fruity” Ken.
New BTS photos show Robbie and Gosling filming at Venice Beach, California dressed as retro rollerblading Barbie and Ken. Despite their blinding neon costumes, it’s a woman dressed in an understated bikini who’s the stand-out character. In fact, her bikni is so subtle that the internet almost didn’t see it.
Is that a nude Barbie?
One fan’s Monday beach trip unexpectedly got a whole lot better after she spotted the Hollywood stars in the flesh. Another thing she didn’t expect: going viral for her photobomb.
If she wanted a nude bikini, then she selected the right swimwear because her two-piece completely melts into her skin tone. It’s got the internet doing a double-take as she looks like an “anatomically correct nude doll in Barbie world”, as one Twitter user said.
“I thought she was completely naked oml, PLEASE change her swimsuit,” another begged.
Forget the Barbie world, it’s accurate in the real world, and Barbie is not that kind of film.
