Speaking to The Baltimore Sun in 1994, Amos described "Bells for Her" as being about inevitability and accepting fate. "The main thing about 'Bells for Her' is that there is no resolve, and that's what that whole song was saying," Amos explained. "'Can't stop what's coming, can't stop what is on its way,'" she continued, quoting the song's chorus.

For these girls in the woods, the meaning is this is beyond clear. With food supplies dwindling by the minute and winter in full effect, the team has to turn to unimaginable food sources ... like the body of Ella Purnell's Jackie, who froze to death at the end of Season 1. At the end of Episode 2, "Edible Complex," the girls try to cremate Jackie, only to lightly barbecue her. Driven by their overwhelming hunger, they pick her body nearly completely clean while their coach, Ben (Stephen Krueger), watches them, horrified. Yes, it's cannibalism.

The team can't stop what's coming or what's on its way, and they know that beyond any shadow of a doubt. With Lottie as the de facto head of the group thanks to her visions and eerie, apparent omniscience, the girls are headed down a dark path, and they can't avoid it. "Yellowjackets" airs every Sunday on Showtime.
