After Christian Walker, a conservative influencer, posted a video of Kehlani at a Starbucks drive-through, the singer became a trend on Twitter. Walker says in the video that Kelhani called him a “a**hole” because he had a “opinion” that was different from hers.
The video went viral on social media, and the Gangsta singer saw it. He decided to make a very subtle joke about what happened. She also said that she has been calm about the situation because of therapy.
Walker is the son of former football player and political candidate Herschel Walker, who went viral last year when he wore a Givenchy sweatshirt and complained about rising gas prices.
Christian Walker posted a lot of stories on Instagram about the incident with Kehlani.
Walker posted a series of Instagram stories about how upset he was that the coffee shop didn’t have a “American flag” in their window. He began the video by shouting:
“These hellish flags should have been taken down 13 days ago. Now that Pride Month is over, where is my American flag?
He also said that the store didn’t like that he was a proud American. He then called the Starbucks location and asked if they had any “Stars and Stripes” and offered to bring one. He added:
Because you live in America, you get a pride month. If you don’t have a flag, you should buy one.”
Later, he saw a rainbow-striped Pride version of the American flag, which Walker thought was disrespectful to the country. He talks to Kehlani about calling him a “a**hole” on the next slide. On the video, he wrote a caption that said:
“This LOVING TOLERANT INCLUSIVE woman told the baristas that I was “that a**hole from TikTok. I got out of the car, so yes.”
He then pointed the camera at the I Like That singer’s face and told her that he had a right to his opinion, telling her to “get a drink and leave.” He said:
“Ma’am, you don’t have to tell the baristas that I’m an asshole just because I have an opinion,” Walker snapped. “Grab a drink and leave. I can have an opinion like everybody else. Why do you get to have a say but I don’t? You want to talk?”
The Nights Like This singer can be heard in the video saying that she was “warning the barista” and that she wanted them to be safe. Walker later put up a photo of himself with the words:
“Yesterday, I was listening to a Kehlani song. Sister girl had no idea what she was up against. Don’t be fooled by the Givenchy and smile, I’ll get out of the car.”
Kehlani replied by posting a screenshot of her confused face during the fight and writing “a taurus” in the caption.
She also said that she had been in a “virtual therapy session” during the whole argument, which was why she was so calm.
Walker responded to the Good Life singer’s comments about therapy by saying that if her “therapy was working,” she wouldn’t be offended by someone “getting a frappuccino,” and he asked her to “book a couple more sessions.”
Before saying that she became popular on Twitter because of him, the conservative posted a few more Instagram stories about the Grammy winner.
