Yesterday, the video was taken as Fox reporter Mike Tobin tried to cover the protests from the middle of a crowd that was yelling “Fox News liars!”
It’s not the first time someone has said bad things about a Fox News reporter who was covering a protest. Even though the Fox News camera cut away, it looks like Tobin was attacked while he was talking.
His most recent live broadcast about the Russian invasion of Ukraine came from Lviv, Ukraine, where the U.S. Embassy moved its operations.
How Did Fox News Reporter Mike Tobin’s Neck Get Hurt? Injury Update
A protester hit Fox News reporter Mike Tobin in the neck and arm while he was live-blogging the Wisconsin union protests. At one point, people in the crowd were yelling “Fox News lies!”
When Tobin said that he had been hit, the camera was not on. On Sunday, the reporter tried to keep the event to Megyn Kelly, but Fox News quickly changed the word “hit” to “punched” and “assaulted.”
When he told Media Matters what happened, he used the word “punched” again and said that he had been hit in the arm, but there was no bruise. So, the reporter doesn’t want to make a big deal out of the story.
According to reports from Business Insider, this was before Live Leak released a clip of the actual hit, which showed that it was more of a touch and almost looked like an accident.
