It’s finally here, MAPPA’s long-awaited adaptation of Tatsuki Fujimoto’s iconic Chainsaw Man manga series!

The anime has just premiered on Crunchyroll to an outstanding reception from fans around the world with #ChainsawMan, #Denji and #Makima already trending on social media platforms.

Where to read Chainsaw Man in English

The Chainsaw Man manga series is written and illustrated by Tatsuki Fujimoto, having made its domestic debut in Japan back in December 2018.

Arguably the easiest way to read the Chainsaw Man manga in English is through Viz Media and Manga Plus, where access to the entire library of published chapters costs just $1.99 a month – Manga Plus can also be downloaded to your device via the App Store and Google Play.

As of October 2022, 12 complete Tankobon volumes have been published in Japan. However, only 11 of those volumes are currently available in English.

Physical copies can be purchased from most major comic book shops as well as online outlets including Amazon, Book Depository, Waterstones and Bookshop.

Alternatively, you can also access the Chainsaw Man manga digitally. Online versions can be purchased through Google Play, Apple iBooks, Amazon Kindle, Barnes & Noble’s Nook and Viz Media.

How many copies has the manga sold?

The Chainsaw Man manga series has received an exceptional reception from both fans domestically in Japan and overseas.

By August 2020, the series had sold over 3 million copies, rising to 4.2 by October and finally 5 million by December of that year.

By the end of December 2021, there were more than 12 million copies of the Chainsaw Man manga in circulation.

As of September 2022, when the last official sales figures were shared, the series has more than 16 million sold copies – including both digital and physical sales.

The series was also nominated for Best US Edition of International Material (Asia).
