One newcomer to the "Pitch Perfect" universe is Jameela Jamil, who will play Gisela, a formidable pop star and ex-girlfriend of Pieter Krämer. As she is accustomed to do, Jamil will portray a character with a charming exterior that hides a razor-sharp wit. Her stylish, unflappable Gisela will no doubt be tough competition for Bumper.
Most recently, Jamil played the super-strong and super-vicious Titania — an influencer with a heart of coal — on "She-Hulk: Attorney at Law." It's unclear yet whether the show — or Titania — will get a 2nd season. However, Jamil had a more memorable, longer-running regular role on "The Good Place," where she played the self-centered, insecure, spoiled, yet somehow likable dead person Tahani Al-Jamil. Additionally, Jamil (the real one, not the "Good Place" one) has lent her voice to animated series like "Harley Quinn," "DuckTales," and "American Dad!" You'll also hear Jamil as the narrator of the upcoming Netflix film "The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight."
