Khushneet friend Kamalpreet has raised a fundraiser on Gofoundme to bring her dead body back to her hometown.
Her friend has written on the age of Gofoundme:
“My name is Kamalpreet Kaur and with a heart full of grief I am sharing a picture of my beautiful friend and sister Khusneet (20 years)who is not with us anymore and lost a battle to depression that she never talked about. Just a month ago she came to Canada on a study visa and I was so happy to see her here, but she was quiet and never very happy in this past month and my stupid head thought she is just shy or probably new here that’s why and yesterday we were given the worst possible news that she ended her life and now I am thinking I should have asked her what was bothering her, but there’s nothing left now other than talking about it. Except for helping her parents see her last time as they have been asking me to send their khushu home right away, therefore I am writing this so that all of you can help me send her body home to her parents and younger brother and support the family in every way possible”
