While it's up for debate why an exploration droid is running around a Mos Eisley garage, the model in question would've no doubt caught the eye of fans of EA's popular videogame, "Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order." Released in 2019, the game follows one of the last remaining Jedi Padawans, Cal Kestis (played by Cameron Monaghan of "Gotham" and "Shameless"), five years after the events of "Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith." The story sees Cal as a target of the Empire hunted by two Inquisitors, forcing him to draw his lightsaber once more and finish his training as a Jedi.
Naturally, as with any "Star Wars" story, the hero always needs a plucky little droid to get them in and out of danger. "Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order" sees Cal pairing up with a BD-1 droid, who helps him on his path to finally learn the ways of the Force and become a full-fledged Jedi. While it's doubtful that this particular droid seen in "The Book of Boba Fett" is the one we know and love, it's a reference in this great episode that goes a long way. Appearing in a matter of seconds, it immediately gets us wondering if the lesser-known Jedi Kestis may ever make an appearance in the live-action area of the "Star Wars" universe. One can only hope.
