Sniper Elite 5 has quite a few multiplayer features, offering players a lot of different ways to play the game. In this article we describe why you should experience Sniper Elite 5’s co-op mode with one of your friends.
Multiple ways to play together
There are multiple ways to play Sniper Elite 5 together with friends. There’s the usual co-op campaign, and then there’s a co-op or solo survival mode. The former allows two players to play through each of the standard campaign missions to complete map objectives and attempt to achieve 3 stars on mission completion. You can experience the game’s nine levels together with a friend. As you know, playing games together is way more fun.
How you do this is entirely up to you. Of course, you will have the option to communicate and take multiple enemies out at the exact same time. On the other hand, if one of you gets spotted you will both have to live with the consequences. Don’t be mad at each other, you’re in this together. If this isn’t enough craziness, there’s also the franchise’s brand new Invasion Mode which allows opposing players to invade your game as an Axis Sniper, increasing tension even further.
Wave after wave
Of course this is not the only way to play together. Sniper Elite 5 is filled with content. There are two ways to play Sniper Elite 5 in co-op. Beyond the main campaign, you can also experience Survival, where enemies are already on alert and arrive in waves. Preparation is key for these encounters. This is mostly meant for anyone who prefers going out guns blazing, as stealth is less of an option. Take your shots at the enemy, as well as setting mines, TNT, and other traps at entry points nearby at the start of each round. This mode is also playable with three friends, so get the squad back together to show the enemies everything you’ve got!
How does it work
If you want to play together with one of your friends, you’ll have to set up a lobby. If you're hosting a game, you can select 'Invite Friend' from the Host Co-op Game menu. That will bring up a list of the friends on the platform you're playing on. They have to be online to show up in this list. Of course, Sniper Elite 5 is well known for its crossplay possibilities. This is also the case with the Sniper Elite 5 co-op campaign. You'll also see an Invite Code on the menu screen, this is meant for friends on other platforms. If you send the Invite Code to the player you want to play with on another platform, they can fill it in on their social menu and you’re set to go.
Sniper Elite 5 is out now for PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One, Series X|S and PC.
