One of the reasons why A Million Little Things is so beloved by its fan base is that it focuses on the little moments in life. Everyone has their stories to tell, and with each new season comes a new set of trials and tribulations to overcome. So far in season 3, we've seen Eddie continue to grapple with the car accident he suffered in the previous season, and as a result, he's broken his sobriety and started taking prescription medication.
The season 2 finale also saw Rome and Regina experience a massive loss when the mother of the child they planned to adopt decided to keep the baby, even after they had already settled on a name for it. Show creator DJ Nash has also gone on the record saying that future season 3 episodes will explore current events, stating, "The way COVID hits this world and the way Black Lives Matter is going to hit this group of friends – it's going to be very moving" (via Deadline).
It's hard to know for certain what direction season 4 will take without knowing how season 3 ends. Will Eddie get back onto the path of sobriety? Will Gary end up starting a romantic relationship with Maggie? Fans are waiting on bated breath for answers to these questions and more until an official season 4 announcement arrives.
