Ben was a cherished resident of Marietta and left an indelible mark on the city through his dedication to public service, his unwavering commitment to education, and his warm and welcoming personality. Born on April 14, 1947, Ben dedicated his life to improving the lives of others. He served as a Marietta City Council member for over two decades, advocating for initiatives that enhanced the city’s infrastructure, schools, and overall quality of life.

His involvement in neighborhood schools, where he mentored numerous youngsters and made contributions to educational initiatives, demonstrated his dedication to education. Ben was a cornerstone of the community in addition to serving the public, and he was well-known for his friendliness, generosity, and unbounded energy. He was a dedicated father and a friend to everyone who came into contact with him. He became a well-liked figure in Marietta because of his capacity to relate to people from all areas of life. Ben was an active member of his community and had a lifetime passion for the arts, especially music and theater.

Marietta will forever remember and honor the legacy of this remarkable man, who made our community a better place for all. Ben is survived by his loving family, friends, and the countless lives he touched. A memorial service will be held on October 5th at Marietta Community Center to celebrate his life and contributions to the city he held dear.
