Bridget McDermott Car Accident; Victim Passed Away In a Tragic Accident
Near fatal car accident on Route 128/Interstate 95 near Lexington, Massachusetts, two drivers perished. One of the drivers killed in a car accident on Friday, October 13, 2023 has been named as Bridget McDermott. The collision took place close to the Route 4/255 interchange, according to Massachusetts State Police.
Several calls were received to the Concord Barracks of the state police at around 1:20 a.m. on Saturday to report a wrong-way car travelling south on the northbound side of the highway. As troopers arrived at the site to find the wrong-way motorist, a caller reported that the car had crashed with another vehicle.
Investigators claim that a 2019 Toyota Prius travelling the wrong way struck a 2001 Toyota RAV4 head-on near Exit 49B, the exit for Route 4 north/Route 225 west, as the RAV4 was travelling north on I-95/Route 128 around Exit 49.
According to state police, the RAV4 was involved in a collision, rolled onto its driver’s side, and caught fire. Both drivers were extricated by firefighters from their cars, and state police immediately confirmed their fatalities.
To find out what happened and why the Prius was travelling in the wrong direction on the interstate, the Concord State Police Barracks, State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section, and State Police Crime Scene Services Section are carrying out an ongoing investigation.
