Cassandra Fear owned Fear’s Confections in Lakewood. Her store closed in March after 13 years in business.
41-year-old Cassandra Fear of Cleveland died Saturday evening after being struck by a car on the city’s West side.
According to Cleveland police, Fear struck a parked car in the 3700 block of W. 130th Street around 9 p.m. After the crash, the she exited her vehicle and was then struck by another vehicle.
Fear was pronounced dead by EMS at the scene.
“Cassandra could best be described as a light that could lift anyone out of bad spirits. From her shop, Fears Confections in Lakewood, to her angelic tenor voice in MANY Sweet Adeline choruses and quartets…. she sprinkled her love, acceptance and inclusivity to everyone who had the luck to be in her presence. She made us all laugh, think, and feel loved,” a statement written in a fundraiser to support Cassandra’s family said.
