Chandler Stalcup Shooting Incident: A fatal shooting near Hilands Golf Club on Saturday morning has left an 18-year-old kid hospitalised. The victim has been named as Crystal River, Florida, resident Chandler Stalcup. Chandler Stalcup, a student-athlete at Rocky Mountain College, reportedly sustained injuries in the Billings shooting.
How did the shooting happen?
The BPD announced on social media that the incident happened at approximately six in the morning in the 900 block of Poly Drive. BPD detectives roped off the area of Poly Drive between Glenwood Drive and Michigan Avenue. There was a single car parked in the blocked-off area of Poly Drive.
Chandler Stalcup’s condition
Following the incident, which resulted in life-threatening injuries for an 18-year-old man, detectives from the BPD blocked up a portion of Poly Drive. The BPD shift commanders were not immediately available on Saturday to provide an update on Chandler Stalcup’s condition or to clarify if any arrests had been made.
Six people have already lost their lives to gun violence in the city of Billings this year, despite the fact that the BPD anticipates investigating fewer homicides in 2023 than it did in 2022. Nearly all of the 17 murder cases that the Boston Police Department was investigating at the end of the previous year involved gunshots.
