We have three children under the age of six. There will be no fancy Valentine's dinner for us this year. We are lucky if everyone eats something before they go to bed.

Our new family tradition is to have a heart-themed foods on Valentine's Day. One year, we had bacon and cinnamon rolls cooked into the shape of hearts. Another year we used heart cookie cutters on lunches and the girls had heart-shaped peanut butter sandwiches, watermelon pieces and sugar cookies.

This year we are letting someone else do the work and we'll be getting a heart-shaped pizza form a local pizzeria.
