Fatal Crash Near New Albany Claims Life of Jordan Vega
Jordan Vega passed away very suddenly on Thursday night in a sad crash close to New Albany. The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office has opened an inquiry into the incident. The sheriff’s office released a statement stating that the event happened in the 11400 block of Johnstown Road at about 6:12 p.m.
The collision happened when Jordan Vega, the driver of a 2010 Harley Davidson, struck a gray 2013 Toyota Corolla. According to the sheriff’s office, Vega crossed the centerline while driving south on Johnstown Road, causing a collision with the gray Toyota that was heading north.
The contact broke loose the motorcycle’s wheel, which then collided with a white 2006 Buick Lacrosse. Emergency services were called to the location immediately after the incident. After suffering severe injuries, Jordan Vega was taken right away to Mount Carmel East Hospital. Unfortunately, at 7:02 p.m., he was declared dead despite medical efforts.
EMS workers from Plain Township were sent to provide on-site medical assistance to the occupants of the other involved vehicles.
