Mariposa Family Death, Wiki:- A California Jonathan Gerrish and Ellen Chung were going out on a Hiking on 15 August 2021 around 8 AM. Both couples went on Hiking with their 1- year old child and a pet dog.
After the news comes, the Mariposa Family suddenly died during the hiking. A police officer who investigated this Mariposa Family Death case released a statement today about the cause of death of the Mariposa Family.
He said the Mariposa Family’s cause of death is hyperthermia and dehydration.
Sheriff Briese says not a lot of people use this trail during the hottest months.
Partly attributes this tragedy to the family’s unfamiliarity.

California Family who was hiking in Valley name is Devil’s Gulch Valley died on 15th August 2021. As per the news, Valley temperatures were warmer than the hikers.
Mariposa Sheriff announced the cause of death of the Mariposa Family. They died due to hyperthermia and dehydration. The dog’s cause of death is not revealed yet, but its death was heat illness likely be.
Jonathan mapped out the Hite Cove Trail on an app, but wouldn’t have know the elevation.
A witness saw the truck going towards the trail Aug. 15 ~ 8am.
Temperature was around 75 at elevation of about 3800 ft.

Recently a couple with their children and dog were hiking. A man- told investigating team that he saw a truck going towards the valley. At that time temperature was 75 degrees of 3,800 feet.
The family walked approx 2.2 Miles and later temperature jumped from 92 to 99c.
After this, again temperature jumped 99 to 100 degrees and over. Their bodies were found 1.5 miles from their vehicle.
