While "The Flash" may not take place during the 1970s when Pink Floyd's beloved album was released, the thrilling decision to use "Time" prepares fans for the heavy wave of nostalgia that hits with the appearance of Michael Keaton's Batman. The trailer gleefully shows off his unforgettable Batmobile design as well as an impressive array of Batsuits for any and every occasion. It even depicts a stunning shot of the Dark Knight diving out of his Batwing, which aptly recreates the original Batman logo.

The lyrics of "Time" also play a role in indicating how Barry may be feeling, especially given the high stakes of this film.

"No one told you when to run," the song states. "You missed the starting gun. And you run, and you run to catch up with the sun, but it's sinking. Racing around to come up behind you again. The sun is the same in a relative way, but you're older, shorter of breath, and one day closer to death."

In the film, Flash is looking for guidance in his unique pursuit and seeks help from Batman until ultimately finding it in an alternate version of himself. He is also desperately trying to defeat General Zod in order to prevent more people and meta-humans from losing their lives. Pink Floyd's "Time" perfectly sets the racing clock against Barry in his extraordinary act to save the multiverse.
